Where It All Began

I searched everywhere for patterns that felt modern, wearable, and truly mine. I couldn't find them — so I decided to build the store I had always needed.

t started, as so many good things do, with a feeling of quiet frustration. After years of searching pattern catalogues and online shops, our founder kept running into the same wall — patterns that were either too complicated, too dated, or simply not designed with real women's lives in mind.

She began collecting, curating, and testing patterns obsessively. She wanted pieces that were elegant without being impractical. Modest without being shapeless. Beginner-friendly without being boring. And as her collection grew, she realised she wasn't alone — millions of makers felt exactly the same way.

Miraj Patterns launched in 2019 as a small digital collection of hand-picked sewing patterns. Today, it serves makers in over 80 countries — from first-time stitchers cutting their maiden fabric to seasoned dressmakers expanding their craft. What has never changed is the original promise: patterns that feel like they were made for you.

We chose this name with care. Every garment you sew is a small act of ascension — of patience rewarded, of skill built stitch by stitch, of creative courage taken. We wanted a name that honoured that journey. That honoured you.
